Rock the Ohio Assessments for Educators (OAE) 2026 – Early Childhood Edition: Shape Young Minds with Confidence!

A teacher is acting as an advocate for a preschool program when they meet with the district superintendent about the budget. This scenario demonstrates advocacy since engaging with district leadership regarding financial resources directly affects the quality and sustainability of the preschool program. Advocating for budget allocations shows the teacher's commitment to ensuring that adequate funds are available for necessary materials, staffing, and program enhancements, which ultimately benefit the children in the preschool setting.

In contrast, organizing workshops for preschool staff, serving on a committee for the student handbook, or providing information at a family orientation meeting are important roles within the educational community, but they may not directly involve advocating for the preschool program’s needs and resource support in the same impactful way that discussions about budget allocations do.
